Goods Transport and Logistics Qualification Certificates

The MEDWAY Group saw its Corporate Integrated Management System (SGIC) certified by the standards NP EN ISO 9001 and NP EN ISO 14001, through the audit carried out in November 2020 by the certifying entity Bureau Veritas.

The Company's focus has been on gaining efficiency and synergies between the different business areas, maintaining the focus on each one. The certification of a single management system, transversal to the entire MEDWAY Group, to the detriment of several management systems in each of the business areas, represents the fulfillment of an objective of great importance for the company.

This certification, extended to the entire MEDWAY Group, represents the recognition of the compliance and effectiveness of the Management Systems implemented, based on a family business culture, sustained by the knowledge, professionalism and proximity between all the teams belonging to the Group.

In March 2020, MEDWAY OFM saw its SQAS System - Safety & Quality Assessment for Sustainability, successfully evaluated for the Rail, Transport Service and Warehouse modules.

The SQAS System covers the areas of quality, safety, environment and corporate social responsibility (CSR).

The implementation of this System and the consequent successful evaluation, enabled MEDWAY – Operador Ferroviário de Mercadorias S.A. to qualify itself as a qualified supplier for the provision of transport, logistics and storage services to Industries in the chemical sector (exclusion factor).
