PROVISIONAL GRANTING OF ECOINCENTIVE 2024 TO MEDWAY

MEDWAY, S.A., Spanish Branch, submitted an application for the Third Call for Grants under the
Eco-incentive Programme for the Promotion of Rail Freight Transport based on Environmental and
Socio-economic Merit, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan
(PRTR), financed by the European Union – Next Generation EU, corresponding to the 2024 eligibility
period.

On 31/10/2025, the Secretary of State for Transport and Sustainable Mobility, of the Ministry of Transport
and Sustainable Mobility (MITMS), published the list of companies that have been provisionally awarded
these eco-incentives, which includes the application submitted by MEDWAY, S.A. Spanish Branch, for an
amount of €5,543,626.51.

With this publication, and once the deadlines for submitting appeals have been met, the final decision on
the granting of eco-incentives will be published.

At MEDWAY, S.A., we welcome this aid to the railway sector, which will undoubtedly contribute to
achieving the objectives set out in the MERCANCÍAS 30 strategy, increasing the share of rail transport in
freight transport.
