National Railway Day | 28 October

At MEDWAY we defend the creation of the National Railway Day, in a fair tribute to the railway workers and the railway companies, because they are the ones that circulate the trains.

Trains that in the past were a structuring and unifying factor in the country thanks to the connections they established in the transport of people and goods.

That at present they continue to gain weight in the economy and in society.

That in the future they will be at the forefront, taking into account their importance in combating climate change.

And in that future, no matter how much the technology evolves, the railway will continue to be fundamental and decisive.

Signing this Petition is helping to put our day on the official calendar of events in Portugal, just as other countries already do.
