The first railway motorway in Spain has been inaugurated, and MEDWAY is one of the main drivers, operating its Euro6000 locomotives. Running between the port of Valencia and the Abroñigal terminal in Madrid, it will allow 750 metre-long trains to operate, proving to be an alternative to road transport for the movement of goods. This action is part of the Spanish government's strategy to increase freight traffic by rail and reduce the number of heavy vehicles on motorways. |
