MEDWAY, S.A., Sucursal España, submitted an application to the Second Call for the Eco-Incentive Programme for the Promotion of Rail Freight Transport based on Environmental and Socio-Economic Merit, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), financed by the European Union - Next Generation EU. On 08/10/2024, the Deputy Director General for Trans-European Network Planning and Logistics of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility (MITMS) published the list of companies provisionally awarded these eco-incentives, including the application submitted by MEDWAY, S.A. Sucursal España. With this publication, and once the deadlines established for the presentation of allegations have been met, the final decision on the awarding of eco-incentives will be published. From MEDWAY, S.A., we value positively these aids to the railway sector that contribute, without a doubt, to reach the objectives established in the MERCANCÏAS 30 strategy, increasing the participation quota of the railway means, in the transport of goods. |
This aid reinforces Medway's commitment to sustainability, reducing emissions and developing rail logistics in line with the European Union's climate and ecological transition objectives and the Spanish Government's Mercancías 30 Strategy.
