MEDWAY - Operador Ferroviário de Mercadorias, has implemented and certified an Integrated Quality and Environment Management System (SGI) in accordance with NP EN ISO 9001: 2015, since 2008 and ISO 14001: 2015, since 2011, respectively.
With the implementation of SGI, MEDWAY intends to guide its activity in a sustainable way, continuously generating value for internal and external stakeholders (Customers, Employees, Suppliers, others), seeking to achieve a solid, sustained environmental performance, combined with social responsibility.
In March 2020, MEDWAY saw its SQAS System - Safety & Quality Assessment for Sustainability, successfully evaluated for the Rail, Transport Service and Warehouse modules.
The SQAS System covers the areas of quality, safety, environment and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
The implementation of this System and the consequent successful evaluation, allowed MEDWAY - Operador Ferroviário de Mercadorias to qualify itself as a qualified supplier for the provision of transport, logistics and storage services to Industries in the chemical sector (exclusion factor).
MEDWAY remains focused on promoting the sustainability of the activity it develops, generating value for internal and external stakeholders, improving its global performance and managing its environmental responsibilities in a systematic way, contributing to the increase of the environmental pillar of sustainability.
